ending a relationshiprelationships & dating•3w ago
one of those moments where people expect a dramatic speech maybe even a fight. but most of the time it ends much quieter than that. at some point you understand that staying just because you once cared, or because leaving feels uncomfortable, only drags both people through something already finished. the relationship doesn’t end the day the words are said, it usually ends long before that... and when the moment finally comes, the hardest part isn’t walking away from the other person. it’s choosing not to shrink yourself just to keep them. so ending a relationship is rarely about anger or revenge. more often, it’s simply the decision to stop holding on to something that no longer holds you back.
