its original name is pocket monsters. with its broadcasting rights, toys, stationery products, movies, and everything else tied to it, i genuinely think it practically boosted an entire country’s economy. i’m 30 now, but i started watching it again from scratch and I’m halfway through the first season. i want to watch all the seasons, but i’m not sure if i’ll be able to go beyond the first four seasons, which are the nostalgic ones for me :)
the first seasons have been uploaded to yotube on the official account. it’s actually pretty nice to watch while having breakfast....
don’t worry, everyone says they’ll stop after the nostalgic seasons. then somehow you’re 12 regions deep.
honestly the early animation style had soul. the newer stuff feels too clean.
after pokemon, there was a time during the pandemic when pokemon go became hugely popular. and now, regardless of age, people are collecting pokemon cards the way others collect baseball cards.
