an open source based on postgresql developed as a substitute for firebase. using it because we had no time for backend. we didn’t have the luxury to build a proper backend, so i used it to complete a mid sized project with react. honestly, impressions are very positive. compared to firebase it’s much simpler, especially on the billing side, and noticeably cheaper. performance is solid. runs stable. documentation is clear and actually usable. the only downside is community size. outside of its subreddit, the ecosystem feels relatively small. not a huge crowd, fewer third party resources. still, for speed and practicality, it gets the job done.
